Jason’s Surfing for Empowerment Philosophy

There are WAVES of opportunity for adventure, happiness, success, love and a whole spectrum of possible enriching experiences that swirl constantly around us. The way of the surfer provides a great metaphor for embracing your unique life waves with passion, purpose, commitment, detachment, flow and fun! There is an unexplainable sensation of boundless connection and presence surfers feel when riding a wave. We who ride waves do so for much more than fun. We do it to experience a “oneness” and spiritual connection to something much larger than ourselves!

Surfing is also a beautiful form of expression. It’s like we use the wave as our canvas and the board as our pen. This is our art. Surfing is a true inner art form. Each wave is different and each one a different painting.

How can surfing inspire, empower, and enlighten us?

Waves have existed since the oceans were created, before there was air that was even breathable by humans.  n.

“Surfing equates to living in the very moment of ‘now’. When you ride a wave you leave behind all things important and unimportant, the purity of the moment is upon you.” People who have never experienced the feeling can only compare it to other things they have done or seen; they are invariably mistaken in thinking that they understand what it feels like to be so intimately connected with a wave.  Which is why you may have heard that ” Only a surfer knows the feeling.”
Bill Hamilton

In this state of mind/body/spirit connection we experience a higher reality…perfect health and well being! I believe this is actually our natural state but at times we can get in our own way. Just as the Ocean and Waves are constantly moving and changing so too with our minds and bodies. So, we don’t have to believe the stagnant thoughts, stories, and beliefs that don’t serve us and keep us stuck! By examining our current beliefs about ourselves and creating fresh new perceptions we can live a more vibrant rewarding life!

There are waves breaking everywhere all the time. How you choose to find and ride them is up to you!

Surfing is a journey my friends and I hope you choose to embrace it like I have!

Aloha!
